after update 3.8 no more popup create user

Hello,

after I did the update to v3.8 I am able to login etc but when I want to create a new user
(right click - new user) or group or root folder nothing happens.

Something to do with rights that changed during the update ? (am using IE8, already tried the .js fix)

I suspect this is a caching problem. Please force refreshing your browser cache (CTRL + F5) on all the pages; login page, folder browsing page and administration page. Let me know if the problem does not disappear.

Nope, also tried it on 3 different pc's so its not a caching problem

I'm guessing I have to set some specific rights on certain folders/files ?

No, it's shouldn't be about folder rights. There should be some JS error when you right click and then click "New User".
Your problem seems similar to this one:
V3.8 and IE 8

Can you replicate the same problem on our Live Demo when you navigate with the same browser ?

Is the Compatibility View on or off? Maybe you should test both modes and let me know.

Ok, I confirm the problem occurs in IE8 Compatibility View (IE 7 mode).
I will let you know about the fix soon.

well I already checked if I had the same issue on the demo page but there
it seems to work just fine.

Maybe a clue : when I'm logged in as admin and in the current page when
I click "create new folder", "upload file", "user settings" etc it all works (even with the right click menu)
but when I go to the "Administration" section this doesn't work anymore.

Aargh you are absolutely right, last week I added all of our local sites to run in compatibily
mode because of a Blackberry server I had installed.. when I disable compatibily mode it 
works.

Please replace FileVista\scripts\administration.js and FileVista\FileVistaControl\scripts\library\utility.js files with the ones from this package:
Fix 2 for FileVista v3.8

This is a cumulative fix, ie. includes IE8 Compatibility View and Firefox context menu fixes.

Fix 2 seems to work great
